Casa de Cello is a family’s wine grower business for 4 generations. It was in the 80’s that one of the owners, João Pedro Araujo, began to professionalize and modernize Casa de Cello’s activity.
He did the reorganization of the existing structure and implanted the best viticulturally and oenological technologies, to get the optimal expressions of its “terroirs” in the wine.
Quinta de Sanjoanne, situated in the middle of “Entre-Douro e Minho” region, near Amarante, was submitted to a total vineyard restructure.
Nowadays, 14 ha of vineyards are managed with the following grape varieties: Arinto, Alvarinho, Malvasia Fina, Trajadura, Loureiro and Avesso who create Quinta de Sanjoanne wines.
Casa de Cello is sustainable farming certified.
